Pic from a bus

One of my most favourite things to do in London is to jump on a bus - any bus, going anywhere - & see where I end up.With such a good transport system you are guaranteed to end up somewhere near a Tube station or bus station to take you home again. And once you have paid for a monthly Oyster card you can take an unlimited amount of Tube, bus or overland train rides in that period (as long as you stay within the Zones you paid for).

So, this is a picture taken from the 341 on the way from North Lto Islington (location of the decadently expensive wool shop- Loop). It was a beautiful day (if you ignore the deceptievly low temperatures) & it takes a fabulous route past Waterloo, across Waterloo Bridge, up the Strand & around to Islington.

The other cool thing about living in the city is that, apart from the touristy areas, London City is basically empty on the weekends. The buses always have seats & the streets are easier to get around. Fab!
