Christmas Eve

We went off to Canada Waters massive sports super store "Decathlon" this afternoon. Mission - to buy me a mountain bike. Nothing too fancy, but something I can ride to work on. With us being in huge money saving mode it makes sense to spend £100 on a bike - once, rather than paying £100/month to travel on the Tube. According to the London Travel website, it will take about the same amount of time to get to work either way.

Bought my new shiny mountain bike (along with lights, a helmet & some locks) & cycled home. It is only about 3 miles from our house, but I think it was more than enough for my first ride in 6 months. I'm going to have to work my way up to riding to work as it's a 7-8 mile ride each way.


You notice how the colour of my face matches the colour of the sunset... and this was a short ride.
