Christmas Day

Woke up early to call all the relatives at home. Spoke to my parents & my brother & his girlfriend. They were all getting ready for Christmas dinner. Kangaroo steaks & salad. Yummo.

Cycled over to Simmos flat in Stockwell for Christmas lunch. It was very kindly cooked by friends George & Jess - turkey in a box from Iceland. Sounds gross, tasted fab. We stuffed ourselves silly with devils on horseback, stuffing balls, Green & Blacks chocolate, & roast vegetables. The meal was fabo - didn't eat enough to feel sick, which was a real change from usual Christmases.

The afternoon was spent watching REALLY crappy horror movies, while I knit a jumper. The only slightly annoying thing was that 4 out of the 6 people who were there were smokers & since Sam was away, the "no smoking inside" rule was thrown out the window for the day. I know people have a right to smoke in their own homes, but it is just soooo annoying to have to wash everything you took to their house. Just vile.

Rode home on my new bike. Felt like I was having a heart attack. Might just be pushing it a bit too much.

Merry Christmas to all my lovely friends & family. I miss you all & hope you had a relaxing Christmas day.
