There's been a lull, ladies & gentlemen

Not feeling much in the mood for blogging at the mo. Didn't feel like it yesterday either. I am having a shocking time trying to get a job & it's really knocked the stuffing out of me. Big ol' London is just so different from home & where I could probably walk into a job in 5 minutes flat, the market is much tougher here. Then all the worries compound & grow into big ugly monsters in my head - what if I cant get a job & something goes wrong with Kynans job?, what happens if I cant get a job in the IT sector- will I be employable when I get home? Blah, blah blah.

The only good thing is that I stayed up until after 3am this morning crying (& sooking via the email to my best friends) that I am completely knackered now & should be able to sleep with no problems tonight.

The other thing that came to me today was a solution for the terrible anxiousness I have been feeling because of my lack of craft impliments etc (who thought you could miss a house full of scraps of material, spinning wheels & fleece, more than you miss most of your relatives?!?)
I have decided to make a quilt in my spare time. Not just any quilt. A HAND STITCHED (has she gone mad?) hexagon Grandmother Flower Garden quilt for my parents. They moved into a large Federation style house in Adelaide, SA last year. The house is full of antiques & they are slowly restoring it to it's former glory. It will make the perfect gift for them in 2020 - or whenever I get around to finishing it.

Due to me being of the cash starved variety (and to introduce some originality, I tell myself) I will be making it out of old business shirts I find at charity shops. I started my collection today.

There were stacks of shirts there & I plan to go back regularly ince I am solvent again.(the op shop was in the financial district & I guess there's a lot of people wearing out their shirts!)
The weird thing is they all appear to be in better knick than the ones Kynan wear to work now!
