Some yarns are worth going to prison for...

but not rainbow acrylic!

One very cool thing I found out on our recent trip to Alcatraz was that the inmates were allowed to buy knitting & crocheting supplies at the store. One of the inmates had been taught by a female relative & used it as a way of using his time to avoid going berserk. Others soon got into this coolio set of crafts & away they went, buying supplies & knitting/crocheting away. Apparently these men, although not the sharpest tools in the shed, were smart enough to know a good thing when they saw it. From checking my daily blogroll I could probably point to a few peeps who wouldn't mind being removed from their families & locked in a place of infinite yarn for a few months. Although we'd also be needing an infinite supply of Haagan Dazs, Malabrigo & Johnny Depp movies to boot.

Mmmm, $11 for shitty acrylic... at that price they could have had decent yarn.
