Slow News Week

Not much to report from this week. Too busy toiling away at work. The main things that happened were;

1. I started & finished a scarf (yes, I know it is rapidly approaching summer in London) out of the book "Scarf Style" by Pam Allen. I was thumbing through it minutes after talking to a friend of mine in Australia. She was mentioning how cold it was, so it was a perfect opportunity to whip up gift. This is a feather & fan shawl in a veregated mohair from New Zealand.

2. My mum & dad got their first computer - a hand-me-down from my brother who is about to jet off on an extended holiday. Welcome to the digital world, guys!

3. Kynan & I went off to see a new musical called "Avenue Q". It's a story (told my muppets) of a street in New York (Avenue Q) & all the people who live there. The tag line for the play is "Just like your life, only funnier". And it was true. The show was absolutley hilarious with songs like "What do you do with a BA in English?" & "Everyone is a little bit racist". I will definately go & see it again - AND BE WARNED - any friend who comes to visit/stay will be dragged along too :)
