We went off tonight to see "Fearless", the supposed last martial arts film that Jet Li will make. And what a corker of a way to go out. The film is the story of Huo Juanjia, a great martial arts student who used Wushu to bring pride back to the Chinese people after it is invaded by westerners. The film has a deep moral vein as well as phenomenal fight scence & beautiful cinematography.
Dont get me wrong, as is usualy with martial arts movies there were certainly some "What The?" moments, but the depth of the story & the beautiful scenery made me glance over those confused moments. For my money, this was the best film I have seen of Jet Lis & it was definately a good choice, if going out on a high note was his intention.
