Happy Birthday to ME!

Well, today is my birthday - start feeling bad now if you have forgotten to send me a card, gift or a shitty sms. I have had a terriffic day. I have a bounty of gifts from my friends, stacks of cards & a succession of phone calls.


I got the most awesome silver jewellery from Kynan (who has very good taste in jewellery I am happy to say), a great cookbook that I cant wait to try out, an IOU from my mum (will add it together with all of her other IOUs & buy plants when I get home). All gifts of money & IOUS will be going towards the "I really want a Kitchenaid & a set of Le Creuset cookware" fund.

The day was spent on a long walk in the sun (welcome back, old pal), time in a meandering secondhand book shop, & eating super dooper Angus beef hamburgers for lunch.

The afternoon is going to be a mixture of reading in bed, doing some more of my 100 year quilt & drinking 1706 Twinnings tea. What a fabulous afternoon!
