Loop d' Loop

The other day I treked to Islington to visit the fabulous Loop. I have been wanting to visit this newish knitting shop for a few months. Knowing I would end up spending more money than I should, was the thing that kept me away so long.

It was more of a walk from Angel station than I thought it would be. Not a problem for those people wearing sensible shoes.

Things I noticed:

- It is a small shop space .Probably as big as most bedrooms. Seems as though they keep their stock downstairs & this helps utilise the space.
- It is located a fair way away from the hustle & bustle of trendy cafe Islington. That helps give the shop a calm & relaxed feel.
- They have a pretty good selection of yarn. Especially good for those active in the blog community who are tormented by seeing all the yarns available in North America!
- They also stock a great range of knitting mags & books. So if there's something you're wondering if you should buy, visiting Loop lets you have a bit of a flick through & make your mind up before forking out the cash.

It's a nice little place to go & visit to cheer yourself up - or to engage in a bit of yarn handling. I'd say the prices are towards the upper end of the spectrum. But then again, so is the quality of the product they stock.

The 341 bus runs from Waterloo directly there. Much nicer than going on the Tube.
