Just as I weas starting to get into this adictive blogging world, BT (British Telecom) decided I was having a bit too much fun. They promptly disabled our internet access at around 10pm on Tuesday. It took the best part of two days dealing with the ISP & BT to have them finally look into it at their end. Neither of them seemed particualrly interested when I said "My partner is a Network/Comms Technician & he has tested the following..."
Our poor little router was wearing most of the blame. I could almost hear the technicians thinking "Her router (pron. rooter in the UK) is rooted. Why wont this woman get off the phone?". The call came through about half an hour ago & the techo meekly said "I think I've fixed it, can you check?" I really, really, REALLY wanted to say "But how could you have fixed it from your end when CLEARLY our router is rooted?"
Oh, I do carry on a bit, don't I?
Other than that, I went for a huge walk around London today. I walked up to Libertys to check out their wool/yarn supplies. Apparently one of only 2 places to buy wool/yarn in central London. Cant say I was that impressed, but that can be left for another story. ...I was walking for 3 1/2 hours solidly. It was the longest walk I have been on since my knee operation (coming up to a month ago now) & I seemed to do okay without the crutches. Things are looking up.
