Pacmans albino cousin ate my husband

The cool devices are Metronaps sleeping pods and have been installed in various locations around Google. They are basically a massage chair covered with a cone of silence. You just lie down, jam on headphones playing ambient music, set the timer for anywhere up to an hour and a half, and drift off. They gently jostle you awake when the timer goes off.

Keeping aside thoughts about them being a cunning way to get their staff to stay there longer than they already do, they are a pretty good idea. The 3pm slump in circadian rhythms is pretty well documented and I can remember many times I have struggled to keep my eyes open at my desk. Infact, I have been studying at Google on the weekends and have used these to grab a quick, and incredibly restful 20 minutes rest. They are a terrific idea. I just wish you could rent them for your own home.
