"Welcome to Struggletown, uk" Population = one

Firstly my apologies go to the one person I know reads this blog. I know it must have seemed like I had abandoned you - or worse, found some sort of life. Rest assured this hasn't happened. I've just been busy being sick & tired. Sometimes sick, sometimes tired - occasionally both. Today I am gale force 10 sick - achy bones, razorblade throat, pounding sinuses - & cyclonic sneezing. Ace.

I suppose a quick round up of the last week wouldn't go astray:

Mon - Fri: Work, work work. It was last week that I discovered it is truly possible to be both bored & very busy at the same time. There is not a minute in the day I am not emailing or talking to someone on the phone (for work - no persinal calls allowed here) - but my brain feels dead. I suppose I should be glad I have had the opportunity to work out I am a person who needs to work in a challenging environment. Until I get to one, it is like I am crawling in my skin... I deal with boredom (or don’t deal) very badly. I only worked this out the day I caught myself SERIOUSLY considering colouring the white stripes in on my spider plant with higlighter. OMFG.

Friday night: Kebab night. Not Kebabs like you'd see in Australia. These things are enormous. The meat is cooked freshly before your eyes & is sort of piled up on a huge piece of bread. I'll take pics next time I have one. They are a meals for two, in one go.

Saturday: Went out to Greenwich to meet some friends. I was supposed to be picking up a camera that one of them was going to lend me - they piked, so no pictures of that day.
Kynan & I ended up having a great time though. We went to some markets, watched a bunch of people fall over at a winter ice rink & spent the rest of the afternoon trawling around the fabulous Maritime Museum. The night was capped of with a stroll through different night markets, drinking mulled wine. Mmmmmm.

Oops - the night was actually capped of with dinner at a Thai restaurant I have been wanting to go to on Lower Marsh. The food was just awesome. It's definitely my favourite local food joint now.

Sunday: Spent mostly in bed because I seemed to have developed infected sinuses during the 30 minute wait for the train to take us home. Winter in Britain means thermals on at all times - even if the weather looks fine. It was worth it for the great time we had.

Today: Back at Boredom Central. We have a New Girl at work who has confided in me that it is the worst place she has ever worked. She also finds the boss to be a complete bitch & the work to be painfully dull & boring. Sound familiar??? I believe she is planning to make her escape after New Year - which should come as a lovely surprise to the AMB (angry, midget boss) as she expected New Girl to stay for quite a while. Oh, the dramas of everyday life.

No pictures today of Greenwich. Instead, pictures from my friends camera - pictures I took last night around our suburb (after I locked myself out of our house) - I really should only blog once a week. It makes me feel like I do heaps of exciting things: )
