I have reached saturation point

Errr, I am going to write about this - even though you may find it hard to believe. I am having troubles with it myself. Last night I got home early from work - had some luck with the train connections - got into my jammies, got some vegemite toast & went to settle into my favourite chair. As I got closer to the chair the "squish" noise got louder. Looking down it was obvious - but barely believable - that the carpet in the loungeroom was under half an inch of water. The radiator in the lounge had deveolped a leak & had soaked the carpet in that room. I spent the next hour or so *trying* to soak up the water with towels & hair dry the carpet. Arrrrrgggggghhhh. We may as well grow gills living in this flat. But it doesn't end there. Kynan contacted the real estate agent who very quickly got onto the radiator repair people. Apparently a leaking radiator is much more serious than a leaking ceiling & they agreed to come to the house this afternoon. They called Kynan at work & said they were about to arrive on site. Kynan said - "Great, I'll just jump on my bike & I'll be there in 15 minutes". He rushed home to find they had left 5 minutes before he arrived home. Without exception, I have found all English service people have attended the same "how to be inept & piss the customer off until they want to punch you in the face" customer service course. Either that, or the star pupils have all been booked in to attend our house. They are now coming on Friday. Just as a side note - AXIS, the people who we hounded for 2 weeks to come & see the about the boiler issue, have started leaving voicemails & calling cards saying that they are wanting to come & look at the boiler but we are never there to let them in..... We even called them to tell them that they have already come to fix the issue. We got another card in the mail the next day moaning about how they were never going to able to fix it for us if we weren't at home. Some days there isn't enough swearing in the world to make me feel good.

I have reached saturation point with these problems. I dont have the energy to care about the water, the repairs, the lack of help, the useless tradesmen, the damp carpet...blah, blah, blah. I think this is probably how most English people feel about it after living with it for so long.

Moving on to other things. A friend of mine went to Madrid last weekend & bought me back the most awesome presents.(Very luckily for me she has a shopping addiction that needs to be sated).

The red is a lot softer than the other & is my fav - along with the green. I dont know what I'm going to make with them. I might have a look around for patterns & start something this weekend.
